i hope no one is hitting the stros because of this. i'm ok on beaning someone in the thigh/ribs for in-game issues, but something like this seems like the wrong thing to bean guys over.

I remember his debut in July, 1963. I was a teenager selling concessions in the stands. Few will remember that Jimmy started at SS that day. He was not a good fielder, so it's good he became a star OF. RIP, Cannon.
Do you remember when his wife stabbed him in the stomach? I was young but my memory is that this turned fans against him somewhat. We had a bad string of off the field stuff during this period, with this then Don Wilson and then César Cedeño's girlfriend. This was a crazy period in history all the way around.
