ASTROS..............on to the ALCS!
I don't know how many more of these close games I can take...
Go to HEB and get a six-pack of Astros-branded Crawford Bock to soothe your nerves. Crawford Bock | Karbach Brewing Co.
Also available at Kroger...which is more convenient on the drive home.
I initially bought that because of the Astros branding, but I really enjoyed it so I frequently get the Crawford Bock.
Anyway, I'm nervous, guys. I plan to watch the game, which almost always makes the Astros lose. Most recent source: watched 1 ALDS game and CWS won it.
F the cheaters
Let bygones be bygones. They’re as clean as a whistle now.
Winning game 5, 9-1
Obligatory pic of shell-shocked Red Sox fans.
He means the Apple Watch using Red Sox, and I agree with him!
Interesting that the umps had to gather between two different innings to discuss a light visible in the outfield area. Never clarification about whether it could have been getting use as a signal, just the comment that 'it seems to be out now.'
Begs the question as to whether Cora has yet another scheme in play...especially of note given that he was allegedly the mastermind behind the trash cans.
Headed to the SERIES............How bout them 'Stros!
I have to say that I am shocked, just shocked I tell ya, that there has been no pushback from the post-game crew and their 'thats white boy dancing right there' comment as the Astros had their locker room celebration.
As much as I would hate to see Atlanta beat the Astros for the title, you HAVE to appreciate the delicious karmic mirror to Rozelle giving the Lombardi Trophy to Al Davis circa 1980...MLB commish giving the trophy to the owner of the team he screwed just a few months ago for something outside the control of the team OR the league.
The other thing to come out of this is no whining from LA about how they lost another series to the Astros, this time due to their high priced talent just being high priced and unavailable due to injury.
This actually has marketable story lines to it, with both teams being able to be painted as the villains going for the trophy associated with America's pastime...complete with the history between ATL and HOU from NL days of yore...I just hope that the Braves lost our number...
This should be an interesting World Series. The oddsmakers favor the Astros. I'm not so sure - the Braves are riding a hot streak at the right time.
What I had long forgotten about Atlanta's field is how much area there seems to be in that outfield. That could bode well for some of our hitters, but it is also the sort of thing that could make us regret losing Meyers and getting rid of Straw.
+1 ... the Braves look very good right now
Uh, Astros have their own hot streak going...
Anyone finding an orange Astros 2021 World Series shirt online that doesn't mention Atlanta? All I can find is this one. I don't care for the design or use of "H-Town" but all other shirts are blue, black, grey, or AL Champion themed. Thanks
Haven't been looking, but will keep an eye out...what size do you need if I see something (since I won't likely be able to come back, post the question, get back AND obtain it)...
Ha! I'm a Large t-shirt wearing dude.
I will keep my eyes open for a Grande Orange...not to be confused with the Le Grande Orange that the Astros let go to Montreal all those years ago...
Been a Braves fan since the early eighties when they were usually the only game on during the week on TBS.
They should have won more Series back in the 90s but they didn't, so, Go Braves!
Glad we stole the first game and like the days of old...pitching is good enough to win but will the bats come along for the ride.
Astros lack of at-home hitting killed them in 2019 when they lost all 4 home games. Repeat coming?
It will be interesting to see how Morton's injury impacts the Braves pitching...Astros already struggled in one series without McCullers and it is looking to impact this Series as well...
Astros had their chances but the two-out magic just didn't appear like it did against Boston.
Braves not only lost Morton but they also lost Ynoa, their # 4 starter in the NLCS. They're getting thin at starting pitching.
Still liking the Astro chances.
Yep. They showed against Boston and even against Chicago that one bad game does not make them crumble. They got waxed back to back against Boston and then opened up the case of whoopass.
Looks like the buzzers under the shirt don't work in the rain...
