yep there it is someone yells the n-word and the whole university is racist....that's what I don't get.....one person does one thing and everyone is responsible for it? Ok, I'm all in....let's break up in groups and monitor each other's behavior....then we can say at Hornfans we've eliminated systemic racism/etc until someone has a not-perfect moment and ruins it for all the perfect ones....
it's an example, like cussing too much..until you stub your toe. I'd like a picture of you walking on water.
Again, why would someone have to be "perfect" to not be racist? Seems to be there's a large delineation in there.
You said that someone would have a "not-perfect moment" in order to exhibit a racist behavior, saying, attitude, etc. I get the broad brush theory you're going for... just an interesting choice of words to say that someone who does that would be considered "not perfect."
Sorry I called you Einstein. I think I can describe my "botheredness" by being on the outside looking in on this point: It all just seems so useless to me. No matter what aesthetic changes are made, each of the persons bothered by any of the (former) existing structure still have to get up and go do it every day or they won't be successful in life, period. BUT, if it makes them happy then go for it, just don't think the "happiness" from this will be long-lived.... "Oh yeah we forget we want this too"....
@moondog_LFZ Edmund T. Gordon Profile for Edmund T. Gordon at UT Austin The Eyes of Texas: Racist tradition or cornerstone of school sprit? - The Daily Texan There's one, what do I win? Would you like to get a beer sometime? I can bring my college transcript and we can go professor by professor, TA by TA. Hell, I can even bring my credentials to show my involvement in student organizations and start naming administrators I directly worked with and know.
Had the same thing by email. Promptly deleted. Was briefly tempted to call and keep someone tied up for a while so they could not rip off some other person, but decided I had productive things in the office that had priority. Did not quite get around to counting paperclips though...
Correct. There is no evidence that said yeller was even a "student". It is hard to say if the "students" that confronted the old white guys in front of Sully are all students or athletes. But the fact remains, after a week of racist accusations, real or imagined, against aggie in their own big city paper, "someone" finds irony lurking at Horn Fans ! Wow just Wow.
