The above is pathetic and funny.

So the UK government is now trying to kill citizens through freezing to death?
Who needs heat when you've got tea?
Everyone knows tea is supposed to be served cold, not hot.
You'd be surprised. Being here just makes you want to drink hot tea. Strange but true. I drink a cup with breakfast and before bed. Very rarely drank tea in Germany and virtually never drank it in Texas (except for iced tea). I think it's the cold, wet weather. Just feels good to drink it.
Let them eat cake.
Err, scones and biscuits
Scotland’s wind turbines have been secretly using fossil fuels (straightarrownews.com)
IN THE COLD WINTER CONDITIONS…THE TURBINES COULD HAVE FROZEN OVER AND STOPPED GENERATING POWER WITHOUT THE HELP OF DIESEL KEEPING THINGS CHURNING. SO WHILE FROM ABOVE…THE CLEAN ENERGY METHOD LOOKS EFFICIENT. IT WAS THE FOSSIL FUELS BELOW KEEPING RESIDENTS WITH HEATED HOMES.

Algae biofuel is a great idea. But it isn't profitable with oil prices where they are now. Won't be for the foreseeable future. Listened to a presentation 5-6 years ago about some work a researcher was doing to increase algal growth rates. That was the big issue. It doesn't grow fast enough. There were things like transparent balloons over ponds that helped but there had to be several more break throughs after that to make it viable.
Wasn't Exxon the one that was going around buying up corn fields because they thought that was the future?
Valero is big into bio-ethanol.
