What are the differences between Vista and XP that you notice?

Yeah a lot of really cool little tools you've been able to find on an apple for a couple years now.

I wonder where these new ideas came from....

Then again, considering the original windows was jacked from Apple...I'm not surprised.

So you're saying that MS took an existing idea, improved upon it, and created a superior product? Welcome to America.

I guess I'll go ahead and hijack this thread by saying Linux kills them both.

Yes, MS took Apple's ideas and 2 years later came out with their own OS, but I wouldn't say they improved upon anything.

    I love OS debates.

For some reason the apple minority is the loudest and has the biggest chip on their shoulder.

Then theres always random linux dude.

Until I can run all the things I want to run on a Mac or Linux (which I can't) they can both enjoy their combined 5% market share.

The market would seem to vehemently disagree with you, Randy Allen Fan. If the product is inferior, then why has Apple consistently had its **** pushed in by MS?

there's something wrong with your laptop then. maybe bad ram or it's not seated properly. i haven't had os x crash on me 3 times in the past 3 years on 4 different machines. the versions of os x before 10.3 were a bit more dodgy, but since then i've had pretty rock solid stability. and i'm hard on my machines.

my xp has crashed on me... maybe 2 or 3 times in 5 years. i've also never had a virus on it. and no, i don't just use it for word processing. i use it for high end gaming as well as programming. of course i'm not a ******* retard either and that probably has a lot to do with it. i find most computer problems have more to do with user error than anything. mac's do seem better at protecting their users from making errors that will f**k things up.

i actually find macs to be kind of tough to use. doing things that are simple on the pc are sometimes counter-intuitive on a mac. like installing software.
