One man's transparency is another man's overbearing and politically-motivated investigation. Surely, you realize this. It is a very adversarial process. Let's put it this way. If I represented any President (and I'd never represent Trump), I would basically treat an impeachment the way I'd treat a lawsuit or criminal prosecution. I'd turn over what the law required, and I'd fight turning over what it didn't require. Yes, it is for political reason. There is no constitutional requirement that the full House vote to open an inquiry, and the courts would never intervene to force such a vote. The Supreme Court has weighed in impeachment and removal procedures, and they are very deferential to Congress on them. I do think she should have a vote, because that is what the House has generally done, but it isn't a requirement. Furthermore, I don't think the GOP should care too much. If the House chooses to formally impeach, there obviously will be a floor vote on that. It shouldn't have any bearing on it. The impeachment inquiry vote isn't required to subpoena. After all, the House and House committees routinely issues subpoenas with no impeachment inquiries pending.
I would have volunteered that they HAVE casinos but then I remembered that they don't allow dice AND they charge you for alcohol.
Spin it all you want but there's no crime here. You're trying to create an impeachable offense for something a president has the authority to do.
They believe that stomping their feet and acting like a petulant little two-year old will eventually make something so...and just like a petulant little rug-rat, they ALSO don't care if they have to tell a lot of fibs to try and get their way.
Wait...you JUST described Donald J. Trump. Damn...I better rethink my support for an impeachment inquiry.
No, I'm pretty sure it's the democrats who have have been stomping their feet like two year olds. They've been doing this since day one of Trump's presidency by trying to find a reason to start an impeachment. At least House member Al Green was honest in his statement on what the dems are trying to pull. Rep. Al Green: "I'm Concerned If We Don't Impeach This President, He Will Get Re-Elected"
Ok. Im convinced Trump doesn't act like a "petulant little two-year old...putulant rug rat...tell a lot of fibs to get [his] way." Seriously? On what planet does Trump's name calling, temper tantrums and voluminous lies not fit into that definition?
Dude, you're whole party has had one big temper tantrum since he's become president. The name calling by Trump is immature at times but have you seen the constant name calling by you libs toward Trump? The fact that you're not put off by Schiff's lies and the whole whistleblower fiasco tells me you're not concerned with lies and deception. Trump is an amateur compared to your party.
Rep. Zeldin, who was there for Volker's testimony, is pissed that the democrats haven't released all of Volker's testimony because it vindicates Trump. Please listen to what Zeldin says about some of the things Volker said under oath.
Trump didn't change when he became POTUS. He's always been a petulant child. It was obvious during the campaign and long before. On Schiff, you're putting words in my mouth as usual. I've never voiced support for him and openly stated Cummings should be in the lead role. On another note, I don't claim the Democrats any more than @Monahorns claims the Republicans.
A petulant child is a group of people who can't accept the results of the 2016 election and will do anything to win 2020. Al Green was right. Schiff is the Chair of the House Intelligence Committee. You might not have voiced support for him but he's running this clown show along with Pelosi. The fact that you have not condemned him says a lot. Of course, some might say you operate in a similar fashion here as Schiff does in congress.
The problem is that his description is self-serving. Of course, so are the selective texts that Schiff chose to release. It's very hard to know what's really going on.
Hard to believe Barbara Jordan actually said this and harder to believe that Hillary Clinton actually thinks it's a smart thing to say.
Why? She also thinks it's smart to call for abolishing the Electoral College and that it's smart to say Trump is an illegitimate President, and on and on and on.... As much as some on here are quick to say that Trump says stupid things why not just call a spade a spade and say that Hillary says stupid things constantly?
Barbara was referencing Nixon. I think most agree with her on this. I am waiting for Hillary to use Barbara's public statements on illegal immigrants.
That's insane. Nixon did a terrible thing, but the idea of scrapping the entire Constitution just to ensure he gets punished is lunacy. Not gonna happen.
