I will be in the Disch Falk parking lot, sippin' a brew, in anticipation of Texas' home opener vs VCU. I simply cannot wait much longer ... I remember seeing VCU play in Austin around '91 or so, we hosted them as one of the regional teams. Come on Feb 22nd !!
Lunch is a crucial choice, Whataburger is always a good place. However, Longhorn Po Boys is probably my favorite place for any type of gameday snacking.
Litnin', what are you thinking the "brew of the day" should be for the season opener this year? I'm going to try and cook that day but it doesn't work out to get there early enough of if we're not going to have a good enough attendance I'll definitely be cooking Saturday and Sunday.
40...I was thinking about Grolsch 'pop tops'. I'm planning on being there before noon. If I can get my normal Friday work stuff done on Thursday, I may be there for breakfast.

This will be my first baseball season that I will be making semi regular home games. Any advice from the baseball vets out there as to tailgating locations and parking?
Yup, in exactly 7 days from now (to the minute almost) I'll be finshing up my office work, jumping in the car, and heading over to the Disch to sit around giant oak trees and drink beer. This extra long off-season has almost killed me. I hate the yankee schools.
