It's time I begin shopping for new insurance.

I'll be bringing to the table a home, 2 auto, and separate valuables policy (wife's jewelry, collectible guns). No recent claims on home or autos, just chugging along.

Any rec's on whom to contact, or any good sites to help me narrow down my options?

    Eyes, can I enroll if I don't have a 1st or 2nd-gen military connection?

I guess my wife could apply for us, since her father fought in Vietnam. However, she's not listed on the mortgage-maybe that's a question USAA could answer for us.

State Farm is bumping my rates up at an astronomical pace, so it's time to either keep them honest or move on.

I guess her father would have to have been a member before he passed away in order for her to become eligible?

Chubb, Chartis and Firemans Fund are all my picks. As a contractor, I interract with various insurance companies on behalf of my clients - those I listed are a notch above the rest
