We've heard the Neocon/Media version of the assassination. Here is the other version.

    (1) Trump told the Prime Minister that he will attack Iraqi PMU Militias, The Prime Minister objected and Trump ignored him

    (2) After the US Embassy protests ended, Trump called the Prime Minister and thanked him for successfully persuading Iraqi PMU Militias to withdraw from Embassy grounds and Green Zone. Trump refused to apologize for defying the Prime Minister’s request to respect Iraq Sovereignty and strike the PMU militias

    (3) Trump asked Iraq to be a mediator between USA/Saudi axis and the Iranians. The Prime Minister agreed and communicated the message to Iran. The Prime Minister asked Americans to stop conducting helicopter overflights above PMU military bases, Trump ignored him

    (4) With respect to the mediation issue, Qassem Solemani was in Iraq to deliver a personal message from Ayatollah Khamenei to the Prime Minister when the Americans assassinated him.
We have been bombarded with propaganda about who Soleimani was. The Neocon US government labels him as the world's leading terrorist; says he is responsible for the death of hundreds of US soldiers and Trump even claims he was responsible for the execution of Iranian protesters. Let's have a little reality.

Number one, he is regarded as a hero by the Syrian state, Lebanese Hezbollah, the Iranian nation, and the citizens of Iraq. Why? Because he was the leader of the resistance which saved Bagdad and Iraq from being overrun by ISIS. He defeated (which the help of Russia's air force) ISIS in Syria. Was he responsible for killing American soldiers? Most likely yes, indirectly, by assisting the insurgency with the explosives (IUDs) following the American occupation of Iraq. Does attacking military personnel make him a terrorist? Depends on one's perspective. If the summation above (points 1-4) is indeed accurate, then the US government under Trump is actually guilty of terrorism in that Soleimani was operating as a de facto diplomat at the time he was murdered.

Now the US has gone beyond the pail with outlandish propaganda. Out of the blue, VP Pence (in this article from the USA TODAY) accused Soleimani of collaboration with the 9-11 terrorists. This is complete fantasy. Nowhere is Soleimani mentioned in the 9-11 report. Hell, he's spent the last decade fighting against Wahhabist extremists.

Despite lack of evidence and what common sense would dictate, the majority of Americans are going to buy what ever lying trash the administration and compliant media dishes out. Any critical thought or questioning of the narrative (as exemplified in this post) will be considered anti-American, Putin loving, etc.

We have a criminally influenced government with little to no respect for law, the Constitution, and has no accountability to the citizenry. No foreign government can make deals with the United States because our government cannot be trusted. Just as the citizens of Germany were bamboozled and brainwashed in the 1930's, so are Americans in the 21st century.
