Sabre Serious naive question Do you think there is a way Sark can be helped to ease into being head coach at Texas?
Lot’s of offensive talent in Texas high schools. Can’t wait to see what he does with it. He will be the first at U of Texas to know how to use it since the 7on7 hit town.
I don't understand the question. "Easing" is not his style, as evidenced by his desire to have the multiple phone calls, starting with all the lettermen & then the BMDs down to the LMDs. I think he will "ease" into Texas HS coaches the same way Hitler "eased" into Poland. He and the staff will watch a ton of film of what he's inheriting and of HS kids. Chris will protect him from donors and ticket holders so he can do his job
Sabre I think you kinda answered my question What is expected of a head coach here is what is expected of HCs at maybe 5 universities. There is almost as much importance handling off field stuff as in. And for a new HC some of the off field stuff can be daunting. I like your answer. I want this coach to be the one.
Mack came in and unified the many factions of the fanbase. Herman unified all the money people to fire his *** as soon as possible. For that reason alone, I think he will be allowed to start off as football coach rather than golfing buddy.

Agree...but you might be giving these kids, most of whom haven't been taught critical thinking but rather the opposite, too much credit. Perception, no matter how shallow or unreasoned, sells easy these days
