Wouldn't it be cool if we could just shut Iran's Nuke plant down with software? No bloodshed. But, it's too much to hope for.

You think it would be cool to just interfere with another country's infrastructure becaue you think they might be developing weapons? Pretty disturbing.

Lets worry about ourselves, fixing the problems in our country, investing in trade with other countries, and not constantly screwing with them and trying to dominate them. If another country wants to develop nuclear technology, and they have signed the appropriate treaties, then let them do it.

Lord knows the US does what it wants, when it wants, without the consent of anyone else, and bombs who it wants when it wants for whatever reason it feels like. Leave Iran alone.

While I agree the US insisting on others not developing nuclear technology seems a little hypocritical.

The reasoning is much deeper and IMO fairly sound. The nuclear 'umbrella' that is in place basically reassures all of the non-nuclear countries that they'll be safe from nukes by aligning with us. As soon as Iran has a certain level of nuclear capability, Israeli will seek it to be 'safe' from Iran, Saudi Arabia will seek it. Then the whole middle east. Then we have to track substantially more potential leaks in the nuclear plumbing in order to make sure it isn't being sold and developed into suitcase bombs and the like.
