I'm 65yo, have never seen anything like him
Not Koufax, Drysdale, Gibson, Gooden, Clemens or Johnson, Pedro.... None of them are close. I've watched MLB since 1961. My first live game was at Comiskey in Aug 1964 (sox won 1-0 bottom of the 9th, Ron Hansen single), a late summer trip to Chicago w/ my great aunt. Have seen some baseball and then some
Watching de Grom's last 2 starts has convinced me. What he's done so far has left me in awe. He'll probably go to the DL but damn.. I've never seen anything like this
The above also rans are on my A list. For a 3 year run of pitching I'd include the below as a B list
Joel Horlen (san antonio)
Jim Palmer
Tom seaver
Juan Marichal
Warren Spahn
Don Sutton (young)
Gary Peters
Dave McNally
Ron Guidry
Greg Maddux
Steve Carlton

Kevin Brown
did not include>>
Nolan Ryan (walked wayyyy too many, never was a leader on a winner. with the mets he was the 4th pitcher. seaver, koosman, gentry were the guns)
