So.....seeing that Mr. Jeffcoat is probably going to be a first day, if not first round, NFL pick, why should he risk injury in a meaningless bowl game that probably won't do anything to improve his draft stock no matter how well or poorly he performs?
Jordan, you have been a great player to watch in your time at UT. Congrats on a well-deserved honor. You will be missed. Good luck in the NFL.
Not fair. Hicks would have had 100 tackles and Edmonds would have led too. Injuries at LB were more to blame than performance save BYU and Ole Miss
Not fair? Not sure what you mean by that Hutto. I was just making a statement regarding the state of our LBs, not belittling any players. Of course injuries are a part of that. Perhaps you are being a little over sensitive.
"why he would be much safer bet than Clowney on draft day" Not sure that a guy who has missed a season's worth of games in college due to injury is a safer bet to do pretty much anything, especially when you look at what happens to a lot of elite DE's in the NFL after injury. Safer than Clowney... maybe. But that's like saying I was a safer bet to keep my virginity than the football team captain in high school.
Because Clowney has a 50/50 shot at being a head case. Who the hell tells his head coach he isn't up to playing 30 minutes before game time? I realize that particular coach can be kind of an *******, but that was real strange. I'm no NFL scout, but I would spend a lot of time interviewing Clowney before paying him big money.
