Jesse Jackson says Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert sees LeBron as a slave. Which is perfect except.... 1. He enjoyed all the freedoms this country has to offer. 2. He didn't work without wages, in fact his millions put him in the world's utmost elite in salaries. Too bad this nut is still considered one of the leaders of the African America community. He has to be one of the biggest reasons more strides are not being made. What a disgusting insult to all those people that endured actual slavery. What a cheap way to minimalize their suffering. Can't stand the way he throws out such ridiculous rhetoric just to get his own name out there again. Link
He's as much a slave as I am a millionaire... Oh wait, I think I have that backwards. P.S. If he's a slave to anything it's his own ego.
Surprised Al Sharpton hasn't piped up yet! I hope this isn't like speaking to a pitcher in the middle of a no-hitter.
The real fan that can't afford to take his kids to the game is the slave. The league lost almost 400 million last season and they are still jacking up ticket prices to pay these prima donna contracts.
$50.00 is the average cost of a single ticket to an NBA game. Not worth the product they put on the court or the arena experience IMO. Mavs $62.00 Spurs $56.00 Rockets $43.00 Lakers $93.00 Grizzlies $24.00
Are you forgetting about $10 for parking, $5 for each drink, and $5 for each hotdog or nachos? That's not a cheap outing. Escpecially with a family. Jesse Jackson is an idiot. If Gilbert was a racist the last thing he'd own is an NBA team. He sure as heck wouldn't have hired his last two coaches either.
A Houston Astros ticket is much cheaper: $10 gets you a ticket, hog dog, soft drink, and chips. Just add $10-15 for parking. Or two dollar tickets. Limited dates, but it get the family in the park for $50 or so. The Link
Most have to park, but you don't have to have soft drinks and hott dogs. I almost always eat before any game that I attend. I am surprised so many don't seem to exercise this option.
Especially with an NBA game; it's not like college football where you can eat before you leave for the game and you'll be hungry in the 3rd or 4th quarter. A lot of places you can just park farther away for cheaper if you don't mind walking.
