Dustin Johnson three puts from 12 feet, on the 18th hole. Unbelievable. Jordan has now won the first two Majors, at age 21. Had a double bogey on 17 and then birdied the 18th. Still kind of feel bad for Johnson, but what a player Spieth is, so early in his career.
Feel bad for Dustin - three-putt from about twelve feet. But it happens - and Jordan is the U.S. Open champ. The young man has a great future ahead of him. Hook 'em, Jordan!
Unbelievable last few holes with Louie getting birdies on 6 of last 7, then JS gets double on 17 with 3 stroke lead then DJ on 18 and 12 feet away 2, only to 3 putt. If JS doesn't get the double on 17, the win does not come down to DJ's missed birdie. Great tournament in very difficult circumstances with many missed putts by several players. That would be a fun course to play!
It should be noted he is the sixth, not fifth. The previous five were Bobby Jones, Craig Wood, who won his U.S. Open at none other than Colonial in Fort Worth, Ben Hogan (twice), Jack Nicklaus, and Tiger Woods.
