Just shows that the better team can get beat by a hot underdog. Granted, Nova was the # 2 seed, and has great players, but KU would and should beat Nova most nights. It took Perry Ellis' worst game of the season, and still Kansas lost by only 5. And it was actualy closer than the score.
Villanova played great defense, stayed in the passing lanes all game, they were unrelenting. That was a big reason Ellis had only four points in the game. They forced 16 Kansas turnovers. That defense caused Kansas to score only 59 points, a season low, only 25 in the first half. Villanova was the #1 team in the country part of the season, not that big of an upset.
