Tonight the Horns cruise to certain victory with ease over the hapless Mildcats. Hopefully we’ll get our shooting back, and start a long winning streak.
Shaka needs to institute a 2nd half 3-point rule. If Texas is up by more than 15 in the second half anything but a fast break or put-back must be a 3-pointer. We really must find our outside shot again if we are going to survive the rest of Big 12 play.
I hate this ESPN+ crap. How many more channels am I going to have to pay for to watch Longhorn sports?
Got stuck away from home for this one, so stats are all I have to go on. Brown came alive in the scoring department - 14 pts thus far. Ramey and Jones with 10 each, so our guard/outside shooting appears to have returned. Looks like Hepa hit a 3. We're 63% shooting from the field, and 75% on 3 pointers. Still bricking plenty of free throws though (56% at free throws). We're winning on the boards 20-11. Brown with 6 rebounds. We're up 53-41 early in the 2nd half. Our MoJo is back.
Hey. Andrew Jones up to 18 points; Ramey with 12. That's what we need to see. Horns 62-48 mid 2nd half. Sims with 7 boards; Brown with 6 boards.
Now, it's a 4 point game against a team 0-10 in their last ten games. So, Chop, you promised we were cruising to an easy victory?! What is the matter?! What in the wide world of sports is going on?
Just got game on the radio network. Coleman has made a couple of mistakes since I’ve been listening. A Jones gave the horns a 3 point lead
Has there been a stop in play? K-State's stat page has been stuck at 69-64 at the 4:35 mark for over 10 minutes.
3 point lead with 5 seconds remaining. (don't foul on the 3 point shot guys) KSU made 2 points. 1 point lead. Seconds remaining.
Looks like we hit a FT. back to a 2 point lead. 4 seconds left. Hit them both. Back to a 3 point lead. seconds remaining.
Stats look ok on shooting and rebounding. Free throws are a recurring issue needing improvement, but we got the ones we needed late.
Next up. TCU Saturday at 1pm CST. After that, it's up to lovely Norman, Oklahoma where we will hopefully bring a full healthy team. We beat them full-strength.
Coleman: 10 pts, 7 assists, 3 rebounds (not exactly a terrible night) A. Jones: 24 points Ramey: 14 points, 5 assists, 3 rebounds Pretty decent guard play. Brown is the big man of the night with 17 pts, 7 boards.
