Anybody who know more about football than me got an idea what we were doing wrong on kick offs today? Even if we discount the muffed catch by Duvernay, our average starting position was something like the 15. I can’t remember anything like it under the new kick-off rules.
Mental errors of trying to run it out from the end zone or 1-2 yard line instead of taking it at the 25. I like the aggressiveness of Duvernay, but temper it with some common sense and analytics. Take it at the 25 unless it’s a short kick (fielded at the 10 or better).
