Sounds like it wasn't a violation if the kid wasn't on an official visit. I'm not sure how the UF recruiters were supposed to know the kid was on a visit.

Kiffin seems like a scumbag for telling the kids to lie. He'll fit in well in the SEC.

Jesus, Kiffin runs his mouth ... and doesn't know wtf he's talking about.

    Learn the rules, jackass.

I thought the guy maybe got a raw deal in Oakland. But maybe, it turns out, he's just a dumb ***.

the bogus commitment garbage is exactly what Les Miles did with RP,
and now the SEC has sunk to a state of moral bankruptcy, so low that they're bragging about the dirty tricks that grown men are plotting with 17 yr olds.

Mack Brown is of a dying breed.

While the SEC may be morally bankrupt, Kentucky and Vanderbilt might be the only two teams in the SEC that did not finish in the mythical top 25 in recruiting. As a comparison, UT and Oklahoma may be the only Big 12 teams ranked in the top 25 in recruiting.

What a clueless idiot. At least know the rules before you shoot off your overly large mouth.
Should make for an entertaining handshake after the Florida game, though.

Still calling a recruit while on a visit at a rival school is in poor taste, inappropriate and disrespectful. Still an inadvertant call can be made and once it is realized the coach should hang up and tell the recruit he/she will call him/her later.

Is ragging on another coach against the rules in the SEC? They have been doing it for years! Why single Kiffin out?
Every time I see this petty stuff, I thank God for Mack Brown.

I was hoping that Mack would say something in his presser about the J-mac NYT slander piece. Thinking about it now, and in light of all this Kiffin BS, Im glad he didn't.

Mack totally is a dying breed. How one Earth did we get to have this guy? There isn't a coach, living, dead, retired or yet to be born that I'd rather have than Mack.

Mack was regarded around the south as one of the biggest snake-oil salesmen alive while at Tulane and UNC, but now that he is at UT he is all class. Hilarious.

The only person I know that regarded Mack as a snake-oil salesman was that douchebag mike rhyner on the ticket in Dallas.
