    200 Yds & 3 TDs in a 37-34 loss to #2 Skyline last night..

Still, that's an impressive night against one of the best teams in the state.

5 more TDs last night for Kyle.
    Ran for 4 & threw a 35 yd TD.

He doesn't get a lot of hype on here, but he is a bonified badass.

I think he is criminally underrated.

Looks like we have another option that can run the wildcat. Love this pick up.

I was at the Martin v. Bowie game last night and Hicks had to be helped off the field at the end of the first half . . . looks like he hurt his leg.

The two goobers on the Ticket / FSW HS Sports Day Friday NIght Scoreboard show said that Hicks did NOT play in the bi district blowout loss to SL Carrol due to a torn ACL sustained last week. D'oh!

Well at least he has an opportunity to redshirt with guys like Gray and Johnson playing. Hicks has looked great all season and I look forward to seeing him in another year.

Good thing we are pretty stacked at RB. A redshirt year will be good for him to heal and get stronger.

Dave Campbell's Texas Football is tweeting that tweets from Demontre Fields and Kyle Hicks are indicating that Hicks may dump Texas for TCU. Doh!

Edit for Update: Fields just tweeted a shout out to his bro Hicks for joining the Horned Frog family! [IMG]

Think the depth chart was a major factor. He would have been on the bench the first couple years so i can see him having second thoughts. Sucks to lose him but if he doesn't want to be here, best of luck where ever he goes.

Here we go... I'm telling you; we have no buzz about our program. None. Yet the Sunshine Pumpers want to give Mack a chance. Mack opened the door to the loud dissenters and now the cracks are starting to appear.

It is a huge loss if you consider what we've been doing with the speed guys lately. Hicks could have been one of those guys.

Does Texas go after another RB now or rest on the two that have committed for 2014?

    @WestAGHorn,

There is no buzz. If you're hearing one then you need to see a doctor.

I don't blame the kid one bit. We are stacked at RB and should put our cards in for 2014. MB and JB will be juniors next season so who knows if they stick around for their senior year or go pro. We lose DJ Monroe and Jeremy Hills and FB Ryan Roberson so we have 4 guys left to to tote the rock next season. Best of luck Mr. Hicks.

We need a speedy mfer at RB since we have enough of Hick's type already. And hopefully our changed coaching staff will have brains enough not to waste him like they did DJ. IMO, of all our seniors leaving this year, DJ and WR Mar. Goodwin will be the ones "non-replaceable or hard to replace" other than Alex on Def.

FWIW, according to the DMN, the reasons Hicks switched to TCU:

“(It was) the lure of being 15 minutes away from home, in particular mom,” Martin coach Bob Wager said. “(It was) the chance to play with (TCU freshman defensive end) Devonte Fields, who not only did he play with at Martin but also played little league football with from the time he was eight years old.”
