Looking for a place for a couple nights in Lake Tahoe and one in Yosemite. Would prefer something a little more private if possible in Tahoe. Northside vs. Southside of the lake does not really matter to me unless anyone has suggestions.

any additional info on what to do and see would be great as well.

    Thanks

The wife and I stayed here a couple nights:

It was off peak in April though so the price was more reasonable than it would be now at the peak season. It is just outside of Yosemite. Not too far from the Mariposa stand which is a nice hike after you drive just a short bit.

Hyatt Incline Village (North Side of Lake) was the nicest place we stayed at a few years ago. It is a typical hyatt resort with all the bells and whistles but seemed a little less "family oriented" than others. It even has a very little casino area.

Much more secluded and private than anything in South Lake Tahoe - but a long ways from the big casinos.

Also, Squaw Valley is not far and the Resort at Squaw Valley gets great reviews - however, the hyatt was a much better hotel & location at that time to me and we stayed at both.

If you can get a night at the Awahnee in Yosemite, you should definitely stay there.
