Last year they were a top 10 caliber team. If not for losing their starting QB in the second half against Bama and the non-call on the Peterson int... They have a good chance of beating Bama last year. They lost to Florida 13-3 and to Ole Miss 25-23. They then lost to Penn State 19-17. Basically they were the best 4 loss team last year. Kinda like OU last year. They also lost a lot of talent. Yet unlike OU they are nowhere to be found in the top 25. So what is the wisdom on LSU this year?
One of the best matchups of the opening week is LSU against North Carolina, which is supposed to have one of the most talented defenses in the country. I'll be pulling for Lester this year to placate his fans and hang on to his job. It seems like one of the few HC positions that might be tempting to a head coach in waiting.
