Max Johnson, starter for most of the season has hit the trail along with his younger brother who decomitted from LSU..............Jake Johnson 4* #1 rated TE in upcoming class. Their Dad is SB winner Brad Johnson. LSU quarterback Max Johnson enters NCAA transfer portal and younger brother opens recruitment
I'd take him if we didn't get Ewers or any of the other highly-rated transfer prospects. He just has that NFL "look" to him. He still seems to over-or-under-throw on a lot of looks, but we already have that problem anyhow, so there's no harm in seeing if he's an improvement over Thompson or Card.
I disagree. I don't think Johnson is as good, much less better than what we have. I thought we already had a dozen or more TEs. I would rather our coaches spend their time on more pressing issues like OL, DL, LB.
Here's what we had as TEs in 2021 and the guys we'll have in 2022: 2021 Tight Ends Cade Brewer - SR, gone for 2022 Juan Davis - FR, Soph for 2022 Nathan Hatter - RS Soph RS JR for 2022 Gunnar Helm - FR, Soph for 2022 Brayden Liebrock - RS Soph, RS JR for 2022 Ja’Tavion Sanders - FR. Soph for 2022 Jared Wiley - JR, SR for 2022 2022 Class Tight Ends Committed No new TE Commits Currently We have 6 TEs on the roster and none for 2022 yet, and not sure if we are recruiting any. The three Frosh in 2021 saw little, if any, any PT.
