Damn, the bowl stat is kind of staggering.

I will say the 9+ and 10+ win seasons really don't say too much. It was hard to win 10 games about 20 years ago (when at most you played 12 games), with 14 game schedules now, it isn't at impressive.

Still, the numbers are damn impressive.

The last I heard the aggies started their up-cycle last year and Texas reached their peak last year which marks the beginning of their down-cycle. Things look bleak for Texas now. Just ask miller58.

 

Ok ok, I'm not an expert at photoshop yet and this isn't to scale by any means, but hopefully gives a fair representation of the differences.

Growing up I was always so jealous because we had so few yearly award winners, only Campbell, Degrate and Sims that I recall off the top of my head. We had so many great players, it's really surprising we don't have more. But Mack really has taken us to a new level and I can only hope we are able to sustain it for the length of his time here. I don't see why we can't. And for all the aggies talk of their 15 minutes(ok years) of fame, they really have very little to show for it, and it's really the only thing they can hang their hat on.

 

For the first 70 years of aggie football they were an all male military school in a town the size of Lockhart. They were at a little disadvantage compared with us. The last 40 years is a little more impressive.

that's fine, as long as they don't claim they are a historically top college program, as they often do, but rather admit they are a small, backwater school whose only somewhat substantial winning tradition was bought by a decade of cheating. Oh, and if they don't want to count their first 70 years, then they don't have any national championships or heisman trophy winners at all.

 

To the above, so was Army, did not stop them from dominating.
Plus, the aggy MNC came during that time.
The thing to realize though, is that these things run in cycles.
By 2117, everything will have evened out.
