I'll say that I can see how major could have done that better. Could have figured it out a lower profile way of handling it.
But they obviously had a rule regardless of why there was a rule. And if you set a rule and your big player decides to flaunt his willingness to break that rule, then I don't mind major taking that on himself in front of all the players.
Again, I'll acknowledge that major could have figured out a more diplomatic way of handling it. But in that locker room, maybe low profile and diplomatic wasn't what was best for the whole team.
