Sooner fans still have a bitter taste over the bonehead loss in Bedlam. Now they're down 27-0 in the middle of the second quarter. That seat is getting hotter by the minute.
Wow, this is embarrassing for ou and the Big XII. The ou offense has 34 yards and shows little sign of life. Clemson looks like they came to play and ou just going through the motions....
OU d lineman tips a pass, picks it off and rumbles for a TD. Play is called back b/c OU was offside. 5 yard penalty gives Clemson a first down. Then they go on to throw a TD pass. 27-0. OU bobbles the ensuing kickoff and starts the next drive at their own 5 yd line.
It truly looks like Clemson's D has completely outmatched the OU offense. Venables has to be loving what his D is doing thus far. And of course the OU D is poopooing the bed as well against a decent Clemson offense.
Saban called Stoops at halftime and asked "is it hard getting them to try to play in consolation game???"
If it was any team except OU, aggy, or Miami, I would feel sorry for them. They just did not show up. Lesser bowls can be such a disappointment that one or both teams don't care. This appears to be the case for OU.
Man, this is terrible for the Big12. We just need to go beat the piggies for at least some consolation....
It isn't that minor a bowl, and I'm sure the coaches don't want to lose, but it may be minor to OU's players, who hoped for something more major. They don't seem to care, and you see this every year in bowls games.
Boring, yes, but what a pleasure to listen to the commentary on how bad they are... from a variety of angles. Meanwhile, it's 10 degrees in Poncha Springs CO.
