Preseason Big 12 poll takeaways: Oklahoma overwhelmingly favored to win 6th straight league title despite change at QB
How do I find out who the four idiots are that voted Texas #1? That said Bedlam should be one helluva game.
Good guess on my part. Mullet has won it twice. One of the most lopsided "rivalries" out there. OU leads 89-18-7 and has won the last 5.
This could be a copy of 1979 Texas vs aTm in Brazos County If Gundy can use Hubbard to play ball control, wear down OU's defense the way the Aggies did us, it could be Gundy's year; at least until the JerryWorld rematch.
Recovering from back surgery, and hospital only has Diet Coke. Doctor told me to try to walk with the walker, so I called my girlfriend, and walked out the front door. I'm enjoying Hostess cupcakes and Coca Cola "leaded", and admiring the view. Doctor is a friend, and called me on my cell about 15 minutes ago and asked me if I was at her house. I said "yes". He said two requests: 1) Be back in time for him to sign the discharge papers around 11 in the morning 2) Don't let her on top.
Dang! I was joking that you must be drunk haha! Back surgery is serious. Here's to hoping for a speedy recovery. I'll drink the Scotch for you right now.
Thanks. He would probably let me have Scotch or good red wine because I refuse their pain medication, but only if I invited him over for drinks.
Here's hoping for 100% back recovery... after all you want her to be able to get back on top now and then!
Championships are won in the off-season. OU has been preparing for the season while Texas and OSU players have been dissing their schools and denying their coach his 1st amendment rights instead of preparing...Their minds aren't on football. Who do you do think will win ?
For me it is very different having lived in OK. OSU fans realize that they are the chew toy. A&M on the other hand, have delusions about themselves dominating the games (dont play them, kicked their butts most of the time, so I refuse to use the word rivalry).
Who do I think will win? The team with the stockpile of talent that has the knowledge of how to win games in what has basically become a high school league. I'm pretty sure that they will exhibit their First Amendment Rights of going up to the line of scrimmage, knocking people down, with their plug-play-quarterback system hitting wide open recievers all day and averaging 50 points a game. And until someone can stop them, and be able to stop them twice in one season, they will another 6 in a row. To use the events of the last two months as the reason that they will win the title this fall, is not just a deeply flawed arguement. it is simply another attempt to start a political bonfire on a thread where it has no place. Kids, it's called Hornfans.com. Not txags.com. Not Hornwhineylittlebitches.com. It's Hornfans.com. Put this other crap to bed and get back to things that are Horncentirc.
What are our goals? Beating Oklahoma on a regular basis is GOAL #1. Without that, we are simply a second tier program looking for a new coach.
For the media to pick ou heavily, with the talent UT has coming back shows no respect to Herman. None. Who can blame them? Herman’ overall record in the B12 is average. Riley on the other hand, has excelled.
OU will be better prepared. All their returning players have been in the offensive system for 1-4 years. All their players have been practicing and working out since last season with no sitting out. The last 3 years they have proven they can run their offense with a QB who has never taken a snap for OU, so QB is not a problem. Their returning defense has a year under their belt with the same system, so they will be better. Team chemistry should be at a much higher level than Texas or OSU. OU players respect their coaches and take pride in being a Sooner....RESULT ....OU kicks *** yet again.
A&M is more delusional but they've also performed better. OSU has had some very talented teams year after year but managed to put up a stretch of 2-14 against Oklahoma. As much as we've struggled with OU at times, Mack went 7-9 against them in his 16 games. I can't even imagine what 2-14 against them would feel like. And while we definitely did well again A&M to win 9 of the last 12, it's been a really long time - the days of DKR and Akers - since we ever had a 14-in-16 stretch against the Ags/ I think we had a 27-in-30 (!!) stretch back then though. True but let's take a look at the difference in what they inherited.
