I want Memphis to be undefeated heading into the NCAAs. It would mean an increased amount of pressure come March. Right now they're lollygagging their way through CUSA (case in point: just 56 points against Tulsa tonight, but they still won by 15), but they can flip the switch when they want. They'll probably kill Gonzaga Saturday.

I actually think it's better to drop a game or 2 during the regular season than to go into the tourny perfect.
History kinda shows the pressure is too much for college kids to keep it together that long.

Not only are they undefeated, but their average margin of victory is 22 pts per game. Thats pretty impressive. They had one close call with USC (4 pt game), but every other win has been 10 pts or greater.

They are probably as good as any team in the country, but the fact that they wont get tested on a regular basis in CUSA will really hurt them come tourny time. Hard to play at a top level for 6 straight games when you haven't been forced to play at a high level during the season.

They'll lose to Texas in the Elite 8, which will be in Houston. [IMG]

at UH at UAB are only games I could see them losing and that's if the home team catches fire and Memphis plays down that night

    UH or Tennessee.

While Gonzaga and Tennessee are good matchups, I think the point still stands that if you don't go through a decent conference race, the back to back to back to back to back to back grind of winning it all is very tough to be prepared for.

They are amazingly athletic and SHOULD go undefeated.....but who knows if they will. LIke previously stated, it is probably better for them to NOT go undefeated, but to each his own. The better question is, who's better, Memphis or Kansas?
