O'Dowd showed up real well last night with a homerun.

I had to watch this one on tape delay. What a fantastic game by LBJ!!!!!!!

The bats did enough, esp. Campbell, O'Dowd, and Flores. A few misplays in the field, but not enough to matter for anything.

    LBJ :clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:

    Poor Guillemette.

That ball drilled him in the ear-covering part of the helmet. I wonder if he went into concussion monitoring or something. When he stood up, he was very pissed off. He wanted to charge the mound, you could see it.

If Miami loses the first game, they'll go to South Beach to drown their sorrows.

If U. La. loses the first game, they'll go to Yeehaw Junction to drown their sorrows.

Don't anybody be so sure that Miami will beat the Cajuns, or cruise to an easy victory, in today's first game.

Is the game on any regular espn channel?

Our official sports website is showing it at 5pm Central Time on ESPN +.

Sometimes, they'll put a game on ESPNU (at the same time it's on ESPN +), but I've seen no indication yet that they plan to do so for this game...

So for now, I guess it's just set to be on "the plus". That could change.

Why should we go to the Official Texas web site when we know You have the answers?

I am far from knowledgeable on this topic but I think pitch count per week is more important than pitch count per game.

Hoping the powers that be over espn way come to their senses and put this game on one of their channels along with plus.
    Are they still called channels?

Schlossnaggy? I thought he was all right when he was at TCU, but now he is just another maroon ****-stain.

Also, pitchers like LBJ (and JR Richard to pick a random example) who throw so many fastballs, can throw more pitches than those who throw a lot of curves and sliders. Curves and sliders are rougher on the arm.

Fielder's choice brings another Cajun runner in.

    Miami 5
    Cajuns 4

Now the Canes get the third out. End of the 5th inning.

Miami has Rosario on the mound. Yeah, he's sub-par as a pitcher.

    Hard liner by the Cajuns....

....right to the Miami second baseman.

Almost a double play. Nice high jump and grab by the Miami second baseman there.

They're taking a look at the (potential) double play there. It was close. The Cajun base runner slid back to first after the great catch by Miami's second baseman.

The verdict is in ---- he's SAFE.

If it's not blatant SEC bias, it's noticeable East Coast bias.

Rosario is pitching at a crummy 6.00 ERA clip this game (4 runs in 6 innings), but he's still throwing 98-99 mph.

Ha! These announcers are slobbering all over Rosario. Yeah, this dude throws hard, He sure does. His fastball sits in the upper 90s. He's also given up 4 runs in 6 innings today. That's a 6.00 ERA... Rosario has a 7.25 ERA for the season.:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused: Miami may be ok with that, but we're sure not.

He'd be battling with Stuart for some innings in low-consequences situations if he was on our staff.

Etheridge puts them down on a fly out.

6-4 Miami going into the 7th inning stretch. (Cajuns are considered the home team for this game)

And here he is, Miami's All-American reliever Andrew Walters.

    1.08 ERA

    Sub 1.00 WHIP

Let's hope he throws A LOT OF PITCHES here...

Walters' fastball appears to defy the laws of physics/gravity.
