The lawyer should immediately be fired, he just got his client's character assasinated by sheer hypocrisy (ha ha ha).

Somehow, I cannot manage to conjure up the tiniest bit of sympathy for Assange over this problem.

And I also wonder why he is still on this side of the dirt.

During Obama Administration, the CIA gained most powerful hacking tools in the world
At a cost of $100 billion
Then they lost it to enemies through negligence

Apparently many of our posters are fine with a totalitarian government, so long as their attacks are targeted toward liberals or socialist. Your turn is coming.

Uh, hello? This *is* our turn - our turn to do the left what they have been doing to us for 8 years. Obama jacked up the power of the EB and the government in general, now it's in our hands. They are the ones who were not careful what they wished for. I am betting the GOP will be more cautious with our liberties than the Dems were, if only b/c they do not have the MSM to cover for them.

Our turn? Now the government is in "our hands?"

The Intel Agencies have become a government unto themselves. If anything, Obama was putty in their hands; not the other way around. And if you open your eyes, you'll realize they aren't in Trump's hands at present. In fact, they are conspiring against him.

The Intelligence Agencies are supposedly under the jurisdiction of Congress. Congress supposedly answers to the electorate. Well, that isn't the case. The Intel Agencies not only do not answer to the Congress, it's clear they don't answer to the President - especially if the President doesn't share their ideology.

There is an issue of left/right in America. That isn't what's driving the conflict. The issue is globalization vs nationalization. Or to put it another way, the issue is rule by the government on an international scale vs rule by the people on a national scale (sovereignty).

Whether we elect "liberals" or we elect "conservatives" may matter in terms of gun laws and what kind of health care laws get passed, but none of the people we vote for are going to have a say in what the Intel Agencies can do, whether they follow the constitution, or who they answer to. That's what you need to take away from the pre-election and post-election theatrics.
