Just got this email from the Horseshoe Bay POA. The Horseshoe Bay POA has received credible reports from residents in Horseshoe Bay West that a mountain lion attacked, killed, and devoured most of a sizable buck last evening near the #4 fairway of Applerock Golf Course. This would be between Mountain Home and Long Mountain Streets off of Mt. Leather street. Pedestrians should be aware of their surroundings and take proper precautions.
I'd let him have as many mulligans as he wanted. What's that? Why yes, it was a hole in one...on a par 5.
The HS Bay courses do have some tasty looking refreshment cart girls. But there are enough "tame" deer all around and within HS Bay to easily support a few mountain lions. I hope the HS Bay humans can coexist safely. Mountain lions have regularly been suspected and even sighted all around this area. Many household pets have gone missing through the years. The deer and lions have always been here. It's the households, humans and pets that have increased.
