Muschamp's Defense

You know, thinking about the future. Muschamp hasn't even had a chance to build a defense with his own recruits, people brought in specifically to fit his philosophy and system. This year's D was probably one of the better defenses Texas has ever had. I can't wait to see it evolve in the next 2-3 years as he fills it with his guys. It's going to be fun to watch.

 

Good observation. He has guys flying to the ball,
playing smart, and they may eventually be known
as the Wrecking Shirts or Black Crew, or something
like that. Or, better, Texas Longhorn KickAss defense.

 

He has done a fantastic job and has some great recruits. Man if we could just also get Mr. Jeffcoat and Mr. Hicks this year it would be awesome.

 

The 2009 version were some cape-wearing s.o.b.'s weren't they?

 

I can't wait to see our D once he Coach Boom fills it with his type of guys. That'll be one mean freaking D!

 

Compared to 6-7 years ago, our defense is a thing of beauty.

 

I like Legion of Boom or the Goon Squad.

 

I thought they were fantastic. They didn't get nearly enough credit after the game - heard a lot about Bama being flat and conservative, neither of which was true IMO. When Texas' D was fresh and playing with some hope, they shut Bama down.

 

Absolutely loved that D. In my opinion they had one bad play.
