So.. I recently got engaged.

The second time for both of us.

She has younger-ish kids.

As a condition, I said,

"There are 12 to 13 days a year that are mine. There will be no negotiation. I will not attend kid's functions. I will not attend kid's athletic events, school plays, weddings, engagement parties, funerals. These days constitute approximately 3% of the days every year.
