My Grandma's Pecan Pie recipe....

    just in time for Turkey Day............and she was genuine Texas, born and raised in NE Houston County near Grapeland...........y'all enjoy!

    4 Eggs
    1 Cup Sugar
    1 Tbsp butter melted
    1 tsp vanilla
    1 1/2 cup Karo syrup (I always do 3/4 cup Steens Ribbon Cane and 3/4 cup Karo gives it deeper richer flavor)
    1 good handful of Pecans ( 1 cup or so)
    pinch of salt

    Beat eggs well and then mix in remaining ingredients. Pour in deep dish pie crust and bake @ 350 for 15 to 18 min and then cut oven to 300 for additional 40 to 45 min or until middle appears set when you shake it.

    Now for maximum enjoyment you take yer slice, nuke it 20 to 30 sec and plop a big ole scoop of Homemade Vanilla Blue Bell right on top!

    My wife has been known to sub in Brer Rabbit for some of the dark Karo.
    A fine way to vary the taste a bit.
