NCAA settles with the widow of Greg Ploetz........

    Yeah I remember hearing back in like 2005 from an art teacher that I know that he wasn't doing well. I'm glad the NCAA at least has a protocol in place to help with situations like these.

    IIRC, The Dallas Morning News first picked up on this story sometime around 2011-2012 and periodically had articles about his decline up until his death. That is how I first learned of it.

    Such a sad story and ending.

    From Sherman TX, I remember Ploetz well from '69-'71. #31 was an undersized DT at 5' 11' - 195 lbs. but DKR loved him - he was a bulldog and hitter. He played bigger than his size.

    As was stated somewhere else, he truly was a WARRIOR. :hookem:
