A friend of mine just went through a rough week and he and his wife would like to get away for a few days. They are looking for a secluded cabin to rent for a day or two that will allow dogs (80 and 40 lbs) and is near a body of water, creek, lake, river etc. If anyone has agood recommendation on a place 1-3 hours outside of Austin that wouldbe great.
Head southwest my friend to the Frio. We've stayed here before. Probably a little bit South from Austin but I am sure there are more like it up stream. Garner State Park is pretty close. Might be a tad cold for tubing but Kayaking would be nice this time of year. www.nealslodges.com/
