Tyler LeBlanc LHP 6'4" 195 lbs 3.68 ERA 1.18 WHIP 2-1 26 Strikeouts 11 Walks Fastball up to the low 90s. Good changeup and a high-spin slider. Pretty good pitcher. If you want ground liver on the mound tonight, you'll have to go to Pappadeaux, order the Boudin, and put it on top of a mound of lump crab meat... 11-6 on the year. They've mostly beaten a bunch of crappy teams, but that's sort of what we've done. LSU kicked their butts pretty hard. We probably won't see their pitchers walking as many batters as Manhattan or NDSU did. We should win these games, but we'll have to earn each win.
Looked at LSUs schedule today. It’s pretty crappy too. Whatever their SOS compared to ours is, I’m not buying it.
After a 4 pitch inning, Tole uses 26 pitches to retire the Privateers in the 8th on 0 hits, 0 walks and 1 HBP. Geez we use a lot of pitches.
aggy down to LSU 6-0 top of the 9th, I've been checking during our breaks. Blue Bell has steadily emptied out during the evening. Another aggy tradition-myth all shot to hell.
Morehouse gives up 2 hits but gets it done with 2 Ks and a popout to SS. 3-1 Horns is ur final. Ill be at the ballpark tomorrow shivering.
Had to watch this one on tape delay. Impressed with our pitching. Gordon started out slow in the 1st inning, but he was on from that point forward. Tole pitched really well. Zane Morehouse got the job done in the 9th after a few singles. I guess Zane is our closer now. So that means Sthele and LBJ as the other 2 starters besides Gordon (although I personally think Hurley needs to be in there as his #s are better than LBJ's, and much better than Sthele's).
We're still stranding too many batters. Not too disappointed in the batting overall, despite only getting 3 runs. The opposing pitchers (LeBlanc and Blanchard) were pretty good. Like I said, if you wanted chopped liver last night (or ground liver), you'd have to go to Pappadeaux and order the Boudin.
Still a defensive game. We’re not stringing together hits and bringing them home. Not much going on for the offense. Sthele and the D keep doing well though. 2-1 us. To the bottom of the 6th.
We’ve seen this before with Sthele, where he starts out slow in the first or second, then he settles in and rattles off a bunch of scoreless innings on the mound.
Powell jacked a 2 run Homerun in the bottom of the 6th. Kennedy was on first after a lead off bunt hit. He’s good at that. Powell is a hitting machine.
