If our season will not take place, I want every penny back that I have already "donated" for my season tickets. I don't give a rats *** about covid. I don't give a rats *** about primadonna players. If this season doesn't happen, I want a check for exactly what I have paid into the system that, for any reason other than my own fault, will not take place. And I'm probably entitled to interest on these funds as well. And I want my loyalty bucks back too. I've been loyal to UT, and now they need to be loyal to me.
At this point, it won't bother me. May not watch even if there is a season. No, or very few, fans in the stadiums. Sounds like a real wing ding of a time.
How much of your filthy lucre have you spent for season tickets? It's really, really easy for TV fans to talk like this. However, those of us who sit in the stands, sweat like pigs and pay $8 for a beer or water feel differently. And of course, if you are a TV fan, you don't have the issue of season tickets and the extortion that our beloved University demands of us . . . the real paying fans.
Sorry, I don't live in Austin, so, season tickets is not a possibility for me. I'm also an airline pilot, so I can't commit to having the weekends available. I didn't realize the thread was only for season ticket holders. Reading again, I guess you were only wanting replies from that group.
Thank you for your kind response. Sometimes I forget that not all of us live in the sweltering home we call Central Texas I love my Horns, but they have already reached out to me to see if I wish to make a gigantic $1,500 donation to the Foundation once the season fails to take place. Right? No way. There may be a lot of folks on this site -- and at UT that can make that kind of toilet paper donation, but I cannot. The Longhorn Foundation feels that we are some sort of bottomless well of funds to draw from. They need to get their act together.
Already took the full refund option on my season tickets. I have zero expectation of any games this season with any fans in stands and very low expectation that any games at all are played on the college level. It sucks, I don’t like it, but it’s cold hard reality.
I'll play and watch my 2006 Rose Bowl DVD every week this fall rather than pay to a non-2020 season . . . or donate . . . whatever I have already sent in to UT. Our University has a endowment in the West Texas billions of dollars. Yet, when we have some sort of crisis (which means cancelling the season), they want to keep my money. I certainly do not feel responsible for supporting all the other sports that will also not happen (volleyball, track, swimming, ping-pong or and of and those other succubus leech sports). If UT is feeling so cash poor, dig into the PUF. That is why it's there. Yet UT certainly WILL NOT dig into that piggy bank to help out students. That much is sure.
Guys, I don’t recall reading a post by Luthor before, but beer hasn’t been $8 since Chris arrived. Therefore, I must question the validity of his donations of any amount, since it seems clear to me that he hasn’t been to Memorial Stadium in several years.
If you were really a donor and season ticket holder, you would have gotten an email from Chris over a month ago giving you three options if the season was canceled or you didn’t qualify for limited seating. One of those was clearly marked FULL REFUNd, with the explanation that your points would remain and you would get your same seats in 2021
Don't forget the near certainty of social cause and political pandering by the announcers during these wing-ding games. Pass. I don't give a **** if this season happens or not.
Very true. Can't watch the golf tournaments for that reason. If I watch LHN, like I am doing now, '96 Nebraska Big XII Champeenship, I have to pause long enough to fast forward through the commercials.
No HiC You are as dedicated fan as those who live here and used to be loyal season ticket Holders Your money is no less important to the. LFD than those who live here . We are all getting screwed
Well if you are white, you are a racist. So you deserve your treatment. If you are a person of color, call CDC and tell him you need an immediate reparation, er, um, refund.
Bought my tickets just like the last 38 years and will not attend if there are games. Will watch on tv. Told them to keep the money. Hook ‘Em
Can’t afford to tell them to keep the money but will ask to be put towards next year. If there are games I’m there!
