I would be very surprised if true
Or if true it was a tactic rather than something else.
I will wait to hear from Texas before I believe it was done maliciously.

It is confirmed, and I would be interested in hearing the explanation.

Very bush league and inexcusable, if true.

I've had multiple people on facebook being all butt hurt about the LSU band's location, as if that required an explanation too.

It just does not make sense. Yes the ac there could be out but if it were Texas would have done what they could..
So we are to believe it was out for LaTech and Ed just happened to call LaTech to ask if the AC worked?
IF the ac did not work for LaT and was not going to work for LSU does anyone with any sense think Texas would not have alerted LSU and done what could be done to make it as cool as possible? We are not aggy .

I will wait for Texas to explain

In trying to find out if in fact the ac was not working in the visiting locker room I came across this
Some SEC locker rooms make opposing teams feel anything but welcome | TideSports.com

apparently nearly all schools do not have welcoming locker rooms for opponents.
    This made me laugh
"Alabama visited Texas A&M in September of 2013 and arrived to find the visiting locker room had no working air conditioning. UA brought in its own portable air conditioners to overcome the conditions."
    and this
    "
    What makes LSU’s so bad?

“It’s so small,” Florida defensive end CeCe Jefferson said. “It’s like little daycare cubbies and they’re like right by each other.”

Making it more cramped, there are lockers lining the walls in Tiger Stadium and another set standing up in the middle.

“It’s so crowded,” Arkansas linebacker Dre Greenlaw said. “I just don’t like them.”
This is $ec but I am guessing all schools do not go out of their way to make comfortable locker rooms for opponents. Seems like a way of messing with the mind

Now I wonder if there is ac at all for the visiting team at Texas. Different from ac not working.

I am calling BS unless CdC says so. If there was no AC all they had to do is move them across the street and use the rooms at Myers.

    Pot, Kettle...

LSU for decades never had AC in the visitors locker room.

I don't know what happened, but there were electrical problems on the West Side of Memorial Stadium before and during the game. Most noticeable was the concession stands were shut down because their computers didn't work. They couldn't take cash because the registers would not open, and Lord help us if those volunteers have to make change without electronic help.

Are the two related? I don't know, but I invite anyone to read Mike Leach's description of the Miss State visitor's locker room, with two toilets in the middle of the locker room and nails on the wall.

As for LSU, I visited there for the Rice game decades ago. A couple of us asked the coach if we could go over to the Rice locker room to say hello to a friend of ours. I swear, not only was there no AC, LSU pumped humidity in that concrete box.

If we did turn off the AC, then the culprit needs to be sentenced to spending 3-4 hours with me. He can't talk, only listen.

Do you know? Does the visiting locker room have ac?

It seems strange that it would be broken for 2 games and we would not have brought in portables.
Is it possible there is no ac at all?

The visiting locker room is the old Varsity locker room used until Neuhaus was built in 86 (??). At one time it was used by women's teams. I know it has been redone a couple of times in the last 30 years. There WAS a press auditorium adjacent, which could have been remodeled to expand the locker room. The auditorium could be cold.

I think is would be hilarious if the AC worked and no one from LSU adjusted the thermostat.

If this is true (a big "if"), and if it was intentional and not some sort of same-day electrical malfunction (another big "if"), then it's a massive failure by whoever orchestrated this sort of bush league bullsh!t. That person should be called out and hard--even if it were Herman (which I seriously doubt it would be). That's a very un-UT sort of move--if it's true and intentional.

I am with you. I do not believe it was intentional.
I can't find out if there is ac at all
But if there was the likelihood that it would be out for 2 weeks and we did not make accommodations seems unlikely.
It seems more likely there is not ac there at all

I am surprised there has been no statement from Texas

So apparently LaTech told LSU ahead of time. I’ll wait to see if CDC confirms or denies.

My guess is those dumbasses didn’t check the thermostat or didn’t know the lower the number the lower the temperature.

    Mystery Solved.
The thermostat had two arrows labeled
“Increase Temp” and “Reduce Temp”, this caused a problem as the LSU staff only knows how to operate the one in LA with the commands of :
    Geaux Highya And Geaux Lowah

    Dixie?
Why did LaTech not complain to Texas officials ?
Why didnt Orgeron complain to Texas officials.

Do you really think LSU officials would not have complained to Texas officials BEFORE they came to Austin if they knew there was no ac?

    Any explanation?
Will you have the cajones to respond?

    WorsterMan SEC here we come!!

    I dont trust these ********.

Being a grassy knoll kind of guy... I suspect AC not working or 100% is possible but NOT likely. Me thinks LSU staff lowered or turned it off to further motivate the team pregame and halftime.

Remember all the highly suspicious tigger D side cramps time outs during the game???

Regardless, I think you can count on some of the following when the Horns visit Death Valley Baton Rouge next Sept.:

    1. AC problem in the visitor lockeroom.
    2. Coaches headphone problems.
    3. Players and coaches hotel compromised by howling fans all night on Friday.
    4. Players and coaches called, texted and harassed the night before the game.
    5. Hotel may run out of breakfast and players have to leave to seek food.
    6. Some other disturbance i have not even imagined...

They are one step away from aggy...

#1 Do not stay in Baton Rouge. If you go to St Francisville, they'll blame it on ghosts

#2 Do not let LSU know where you are staying. They will create a problem on 10 or 12 to turn a 30 minute bus ride into 3 hours.

#3 Make damn sure of security and food at hotel

The entire college football world saw LSU fake injuries and they over did it and every single team remaining on that schedule will be keeping an eye out for it. This is nothing but a poor attempt of damage control. Notice how not a single offensive player had any issues or did they have their own personal locker room. No player or coach from LA Tech has said a thing about this. Considering we had a player give up football dude to not being able to regulate his body temp and played a team last year that had a player die to heat exhaustion I really doubt anybody at Texas would pull that crap. I have never seen a team that won a game make some many damn excuses and finger point. Let’s not forget they leaked players and coaches personal info and started sending racial and homophobic slurs as well as death threats via text oh y’all forgot about that didn’t you.

The issue is no place to stay within 30 minutes of the stadium (too far to stay in Texas and that part of Mississippi is just as bad). Tex had the same issue with aggy until they found the place in Montgomery County and decided that a longer bus ride was worth getting away from the cesspool.
The problem with #2 is you have to tell them so the police escort can be arranged.
The solution to #3 is to bring your own in force.
