Oak chips or chunks

    We can get apple, cherry, maple, hickory, and even mesquite up here in the North Country; negative on the live oak--which I think is best for brisket. Other than driving to Texas in my Dakota and bringing a load back up here does anyone have a source?

    I don't recall ever seeing live oak up north, but when I was in Illinois, there was plenty of white, red, and black oak around.
