Per TFB: I exchanged a few text messages with Patrick Hudson’s mother this morning and she told me that they would not be visiting Texas this weekend. However she did also tell me that he is comfortable with and likes both schools [TEXAS & Bailor]. So it seems, Patrick has the go ahead to sign with whichever school he prefers. I also spoke to a source on the Texas side of things and was told that Texas feels good about where they stand with Hudson. To be honest that surprised me since Hudson has been committed to Baylor for so long and has a long standing relationship with the Bears. But there is definitely optimism inside Texas…certainly more than I would’ve expected.
I proposed to her Wednesday night in hopes that it would help. She said she'd get back to me yesterday.
I believe that if anyone could flip Hudson, it would be Strong. I have not had Hudson as a "get" for us, although it may be close to 50/50 right now. I hope I'm wrong and he signs with Texas on NSD.
If you could offer her a track scholarship to Texas, it would really help. That's is supposedly what Baylor is doing, at least a partial, to keep Hudson on board.
The latest report has his sister going to ITT Technical College, not Baylor. This helps Hudson lean more toward Texas now, one would hope.
First the NCAA thing on Ole Miss during the last week before NSD. Then ESPN comes out with this OTL show this coming Sunday morning. This can't be good for Baylor. ESPN's "Journalism Showcase" - January 29, 2016 - ESPN Front Row
TFB's Andrew and Super K are united and divided on the recruitment analysis of Hudson. They both believe that, even though he's been a long time Bailor commit, he is truly struggling with choosing between the 'Horns and Bares. Andrew thinks Waco will end up being Hudson's final destination, while Super K's gut is telling him it'll be Austin.
Patrick Hudson just tweeted and five minutes later, BJM tweeted (and removed the tweet 20 minutes later): "It's CHRISTMAS season in February ATX." Coincidence? Or, is coach BJM talking about D'Andre Christmas-Giles? The players have generally started calling the coaches and telling them, though the announcements will only be on NSD.
We might be grasping for straws but I find it hard to believe the burnt orange was just a coincidence.
Here's the definition of irony from Art Biles' tweet: Welcome to the family Patrick Hudson! #BaylorFootballBeAChampion #truthdontlie
Briles didn't let Hudson himself have his moment and announce it? Unless Hudson asked him to do the tweet, that's pretty tacky...
