Another freshman is Nick Kennedy, a lefty, coming in to pitch the ninth, for the Horns.

Leading off for OSU is Benge, batting lefty.
A liner to first is one down.

Simpson bats lefty, with an out.
He swings at a pitch in the dirt, the 2-3 completes the K, two gone.

Righty hitter is Sluder, batting righty, with two down.
He can't check his swing on another dirt pitch, Barrera applies the tag, the K end the inning.

Bottom of the ninth and OSU leads 8-4.

OSU wants to move into second place in the conference, so they bring in their closer, Tyler Buffett, a right hander.
McCain comes in to play left field.

Kody Clemens leads off for the Horns, batting lefty.
He K's on three pitches, the last swinging at a high fast ball, one down.

Barrera bats righty, with an out.
He lines to center and the centerfielder has it, as he charges and goes down to his knees, two outs.

Kacy Clemens bats lefty, two outs.
He K's, can't hold up on the breaker, that ends the game.

OSU wins 8-4 and sweeps the series, back in a bit.

OSU puts the nail in the coffin, for any hopes of an at large bid to a regional, with the first sweep of Texas this season. OSU moves into second place in the conference standings, but it looks like Tech has the title well in hand, barring a total collapse.

No need to dwell on this one much, Texas couldn't score the first half of the game, some strange base running again, helped cause that.

OSU wildness helped Texas get back in the game in the middle of the game.

Then Texas wildness helped OSU take the lead and win the game in last part of the game. Lots of pitchers used on both sides.

Same as it ever was, as now it will take a Big 12 Tourney win, for the Horns to get in a regional. Eight games left and four games under the .500 mark. All the games left are against bad teams, with only WVU having a slighty better RPI than Texas, who has about a #125 RPI ranking now. So even winning out won't help Texas much.

Just a bad weekend at the Disch, nothing to do now, but wait it out and see what happens in Oklahoma City.:hookem:

After going into Lubbock and winning the series, we come HOME to Disch Falk and turn in this masterpiece. What a nightmare season this has been after the high hopes when we snuck past the draft for the 2nd year in a row.
