    Woah!

KSU takes a ten point lead on ISU.

    KSU 27
    ISU 17

3:04 left in the game. Cyclone’s ball after KSU score.

Wildcat DBs breaking up some passes. Now 4th down pass broken up. That’s the game. KSU will win.

Back to Bedlam. Something the Pokes have been doing is alternating between a 3 man front and a 4 man front—mixing it up. Someone please make copies of the Mullet’s binder.

Osu goes for it on 4th and 3. Pass protection falls apart. QB in desperation throws a pass that would have lost a yard even if complete. Needed to toss it downfield to at least give it a chance, plus maybe get free yards if a dumb DB makes the pick

Now they’re debating a targeting call by a Poke DB. They’re flagging him and ejecting him. WTF. This wasn’t a Jack Tatum style cheap shot. That was a darn good tackle. Textbook. Just like you’d want and just like it’s coached. He didn’t even lower his head or hit him with the crown of the helmet. It wasn’t spearing. Bunch of BS. Some jack wagons are trying their hardest to ruin the game. Vintage Big 12 refereeing.

Wide open TD Sooners. TE in the flats on a goalline play.

And yeah, they’re playing that damn song again.

Cal with two sacks already with five minutes played against UCLA. Cal’s pass rush is relentless.

    0-0 early on.

Now Bruin WR on a short pass and run down the sideline for a TD.

    UCLA 7
    Cal 0

And now Cal effectively runs a jailbreak screen for a long TD. I think only other teams (not us) run that play with any success. And earlier today Florida ran a WR bubble screen for a TD. ... :idk:

    Cal 7
    UCLA 7

and next, UCLA runs a WR screen for a first down into Cal territory. :idk:

but tap the breaks. Cal’s badass pass rush gets another sack. That’s 3 sacks for Cal in the first quarter! :yikes:

Cal’s not that good of a team overall, but their D front really gets the pressure on the QB.

Sick and tired of hearing about "Bedlam" every year and the so-called rivalry in the Big 10. aOSU has dominated that the last 20 years. What a joke both of those "rivalries" are.

Mullett gets his team, a lot of Texans, up to play Texas most years than the in-state "rival" OU. What a joke.

Um, it was crown of the helmet to the WR’s face mask. Textbook targeting. I doubt he meant to do it, but he did it.

Okie Lite was playing without their QB and top receiver due to injuries.

    Makes a difference.

Hope Dallas makes the smart decision and hire Riley.

Watch again. It was most definitely not the crown (top) of the helmet. The tackler kept his head up.

He didn't lower it a lot, but he did lower it. It's textbook helmet-to-helmet and the top of it hit Rambo's facemask. If he hadn't lowered his head, the facemasks would have touched.

Really? Difficult to believe. Bad news if Riley goes to Dallas and Blow U gets him.

I bet FSU is beating a path to his door as he will not run a second rate program either on the field or ethically.

He is staying at UDub in another capacity in the Athletic Department, but I wonder if he would like to be an OC for three years at another school outside of Washington? He might enjoy "recharging his batteries" in Texas.

Bummer Chris Lake the former DC is taking his job.

There is a separate on the topic. Speculation is he has a child with medical issues so he isn't looking for another head coaching job.

Yes that keeps popping up but even the Seattle Times mentioned that he never made any reference to it.

He seems to want to keep it pretty private. All I can find is his son (who is now mid teens) had a brain tumor when he was only a year old. Some indications that he's past it and lives a normal live now but nothing definite and no hint of why it would tie him to the NW.

Maybe they will go after Riley?
I might even be willing to pitch in

No doubt Riley will have plenty of suitors. It will be a surprise if he’s coaching in Norman next year. He’s the coaching equivalent of the flavor of the month, and those flavors never hold their taste very long. What I’m saying is that he may never be as marketable as he is now.

    12/7

It's conference championship day in college football. Here's the lineup of games:

Big 12--Baylor vs. Oklahoma -- Riley and the Sooner brain trust (can't believe I just typed that...) learn a few lessons from their last game with Baylor. Hurts lights up the scoreboard more than Brewer and the Bears. Remember, our defense this year recently held Baylor to just 24 points. OU wears them down as the game goes on and takes the Big 12 title, again.

SEC--Georgia vs. LSU -- Georgia is solid, but Barrow and the LSU O is much more explosive and can put up the points in a way the Bulldogs can't. Georgia will try to repeatedly ram it down LSU's throat; they won't. LSU by 10-14 pts.

Big 10--Wisconsin vs. aOSU -- While I would love for mighty Wisconsin to take down the Buckeyes, I wouldn't hold my breath. Ohio State has played as well as anyone this year, including LSU. Ohio State has already defeated Wisconsin 38-7 this year. If the Badger OL can keep Chase Young and the aOSU pass rush in check, they'll make it a game. The Bucks will get some sacks and QB pressures, but can the Badgers limit them. The last game between these two, earlier in the year, Chase Young got 4 sacks! Wisconsin has to work on that or it will be a long day for the Cheeseheads. Penn State made the Buckeyes fight for it until late in the game, and Wisconsin is about on the same level as Penn St. at this point, maybe a tad better. Wisconsin is also coming off an impressive win over Minnesota--everyone's darling this year. But the Buckeyes are one team the Badgers can't wear down. aOSU in a tight one.

ACC--Virginia vs. Clemson -- UVA has been playing well, but I don't think the Cavs have the horses to upset Clemson today. Multi-threat Cavs QB Bryce Perkins will put some points on the board, but nothing like the girlish-looking Trevor Lawrence and the Clemson O. UVA's defense is also suspect. Clemson in a blow out.

[That chick throws a tight spiral. We'll take her for our powder puff team.]

AAC--Cincinnati vs. Memphis -- Two really good teams here. Both coaches are very good and are getting looks from more prominent programs (there's another thread on that). Memphis looks stronger in the trenches and just a bit more talented overall.

MWC--Hawaii vs. Boise State -- It's great, and unexpected, to find the Bows in a conference championship game. BSU is a much better team overall, but MacDonald is a heck of a QB for Hawaii and is likely to turn this into a high scoring shootout where anything can happen. BSU gets a significant home field advantage.

Yesterday, PAC--Utah vs. Oregon -- Oregon took down Utah 37-15, leaving an open door for the Sooners, or maybe even the Baylor Bears, to get to the playoffs with a Georgia loss today.

Cincy strikes first, but Memphis is driving. Two of the hottest names in coaching are squaring off. Memphis tried an onside kick to start off.

    Cincy 7
    Memphis 0

Memphis gashing them up the gut. Into the red zone. Cincy D tightens up. FG Memphis.

    Cincy 7
    Memphis 3

Now Memphis with a sack near midfield to end a Cincy drive. Cincy punter pins them deep.

Cincy defense holds but then they run into the Memphis punter. First down Memphis still deep in their own territory.

Memphis RB Gibson breaks a 65 yard run for a TD.

    Memphis 10
    Cincy 7

Hawaii QB McDonald has been scrambling well when nothing is open to move the chains.

Georgia stopped near midfield. Sorry punt. LSU takes over at their 26. 0-0 early on.
