They remind me of some of the worst Mack teams—teams with superior overall talent that didn’t put it to much use. SC is doing well enough and catching the breaks tonight though, despite some sloppy play. You can see the impressive latent raw talent that is there.
FG Yoots USC 30 Utah 23 More sloppy play by both sides—FG erased by a false start, then made and erased again by offsides USC w contact blown dead, then made again for the third time.
Boise State looked solid in the parts that I saw - although their OL just isn't talented at all - and won by double digits - so I'm not sure what this is referring to.
It means that USC is totally undisciplined, and Helton has no control over his team. Who is the new HC on Exposition Harsin or Urban Myth. The best thing about the Boise State game was Reggie Smith was the referee, meaning Walleye can’t assign him to our game. Fear not, he has plenty of other ****** candidates to choose from.
The worst part of the telecast was the announcers slobbering over SC followed by Leinart's total declaration that this game proves the naysayers wrong and this SC is in the driver's seat of the PAC-12.
I could be all wet on this, but I still don’t think SC is back. They lost to unranked BYU. Next game v Washington will tell us a lot. Of course, if Bru was on the field, they would be tearing it up.
TD Cal. Cal’s QB frequently having all day to throw. You can’t beat them like that. Cal 21 Ole Miss 13
Wisconsin 28 Michigan 0 On Wisconsin indeed! You can probably count on Wisconsin jumping us in the polls, regardless of what we do tonight.
Cal pulling away from a vaunted SEC team. Cal with a goal line stand, and the Ole Miss kicker missed a chip shot just now. The Ole Miss crowd responded with a smattering of boos. Cal 28 Ole Miss 13
I love when coaches make bad decisions and it blows up on them worse than expected. Down 15 with 9 minutes left, Ole Miss kicks a short field goal to guarantee keeping it a two-score game, instead of going for it. Then they miss the kick.
Re: Ole Miss—their staff and players have the Greg Davisesque habit of running 5 yard patterns on 3rd and 10.
Ole Miss still alive. Hard fought 3rd down stand at midfield. Under three minutes down by 8 to Cal, no timeouts left.
