Just what are we doing ? Most spread offenses and our opponents have their WRs run routes predicated by what the defense does, thus the defense is wrong no matter what they do...The WRs are running to an open area. We seem to have a precise route and we run it be damned. This is why our guys always seem to be covered and our opponents' guys have nobody within 10 yards of them when they catch the ball half the time. Our passing game looks as elementary as our running game which is on a kindergarten level. In other words other teams are playing chess while we are playing checkers on offense.
Big and Physical is all we got! Our WR's cannot get open. Pure and simple, no "twitch" nor quickness. Sam had nobody to thrown downfield to and it was evident. Jake Smith has this potential but our upper classmen have none of this. Starting Eagles was a complete DISASTER! and bringing back Greg Davis East -West offensive mentality was a downright embarrassment.
