As to Boyer, last time I checked he was white. That color, or non-color, is not credible.

I thought the midget removed Hoover’s statue or was that Woodrow Wilson?

Doesn’t matter Unless it is someone recommended by their puppeteers, he will not be acceptable to them.

When you step back and think. How the hell do marxists with their history of moral failure and human misery created worldwide for 100 years, get the black community to go all in for them? I know they own the media, teach our young students history now, own most of academia, and get to define our culture. It’s all gas lighting. Then there is welfare, buying votes. Satan must be behind that movement! It’s beyond politics!

My vote is still Candace Olsen. I would pray for her because She would be up against Satan himself! She IS who the team needs to hear from!

    Nailed it.
And you know we live in a day - and in the days ahead it will become more pronounced - when you speak the actual truth and it is the most mocked, ridiculed, or dismissed explanation offered.
But those same people will readily entertain any and all other notions of the absurd variety they are more comfortable with.
    They don't want truth.
    They want to feel good.

[By the way, you left out the history of abortion and it's very clear racist origins.]

Think I read somewhere there shall come a day when ‘good shall be called bad, and bad shall be called good’, never really believed it could be so true. I just thought the hip “that’s bad” expression when expressing joy was only being ‘hip’.

    Marxists are running things here?
Our government is under the control of conservative Republicans but Marxists are controlling everything in our daily lives?
It's this kind of delusional paranoia that's splitting this country apart.
If anything this country is closer to a eastern European/Russian style oligarchy.
Run by a few billionaires desperately trying to remain in control of their massive bank accounts.

You think we are under the control of Republican Conservatives, Moon?
    Talk about delusion.
The guiding forces controlling the trajectory of this country have been progressive, liberal ideologies for quite some time now, regardless of who is holding office.
Our cultural, social, journalistic, academic and great deal of political, too have been trending that way for years. If you like the results you are getting, keep supporting more of it. If you don't like what you are seeing today, then I suggest you dig deep and examine your philosophies because they are certainly the ones dominating our general direction as a people.
All having a few conservatives in power does is temporarily delay the "progression".
You and I are never going to agree on this stuff....but I like you, Moon.
We should give up talking politics and talk about something else....like God maybe...
By the way, I hate the "splitting of the country", too. It genuinely breaks my heart. I doubt you and I agree on what is really behind it, but at least we agree it is a terrible thing.
    :)

Alot of people here like to debate tactics and semantics.....but not facts or assertions. It is just the sort of intellectual gymnastics that it requires to defend the insanity in our country.
It is an insult to the dialogue, as well as a complete waste of time.
    I think I'm done.

You mean facts such as Marxists running our daily lives? :rolleyes1:
Pretty much everything on here is opinion.
You mentioned progressives and I can discuss that.
It's when it's taken to one extreme or the other that it starts becoming ridiculous.

I don't know who you think are Marxists, Moon. I know who I think are "Marxists" and can see their imprint all over this country. I think extremism is generally bad, though extreme measures are sometimes necessary to combat extreme threats. I will certainly agree there are wackos on both "sides". I wasn't referring to you, btw, in that post criticizing dialogue/debate methods....not at all.

Didn't think you were speaking to me necessarily.
Just pointing out that in these type of discussions/debates there are very few facts unless statistics or such are being offered.
Yours or my opinions of what or who a Marxist is just that.
    An opinion.
I am obviously left of center.
But I can't think of anybody I know that I would call a Marxist or Socialist or espouses to want either of those philosophies implemented in this country.
Would I support the expansion of certain social programs? Yes I would.
But you're buying a false narrative if you think a great number of people in this country want a true Marxist or Socialist government.
Most believe in capitalism and have no problem with people being rich.
They just want the super rich to pay their fair share.
Do our best to offer healthcare and education to our citizens.
In my mind our nation will be at it's greatest when it is the healthiest, best educated and, hopefully one day, the most caring and loving nation on the planet.

Moon...I get you, man. I'm just going to leave it at that. I get you and think you're an all right dude. I believe you are sincere and intellectually honest (which is more than I can say for a few guys here).
We just disagree on what is needed to get us where we need to go and who or what is most responsible for undermining that plight.

I like you moon. Your good man. I wasn’t calling you anything. Really. I get where progressives come from. I don’t like the financial inequality of modern monetary theory or more simply put monetary policy. That’s both sides. I don’t like inequality at all. We just see it coming from different places. Like rain said.

I love talking football with you guys.
I never go to west mall because this is my safe place. :)
But there seems no escaping these days.
I wish we could all get back to a place where we realize we're all Americans.
Just because I disagree with you doesn't mean I hate America.
    And vice versa.
Tired of hearing people push that crap.

Just saw a post that irks the crap out of me. Why does it bother me? Simple...I care...alot...a whole lot; and I believe this person is misguided in their feelings/perception (and that it matters in regards to our future). I realize they think the same of me, and that doesn't marinate well, either. I am so concerned about what is happening in our world I want to fight for it....actually fight sometimes. I don't believe it is the answer..and I know the fight isn't with man. I think if we could just dialogue through it...maybe some small semblance of influence or progress.
But, it just doesn't work here. Doesn't work in West Mall, either.
I have a wife and 5 young children and a long list of responsibilities and opportunities related to them, my neighbors, my community, and my country. Time, energy, and resources are finite and it seems little can be accomplished here. To all those I agree with on some things: Please balance truth with grace and love. To all those I disagree with but get along well enough with: I wish there were more we could do together. I'm open to work at it. To all those where we just repel one another: I'm sorry it can't be different. I can commit to look for the best in you, to care about you and yours, and be here if you are in need. We may be at odds, but there is still a "we." I'm committed to that much. You are not my enemy. And I will treat you as a friend.
And to all...some advice: Befriend those with whom you disagree. Get to know others and really try to understand and empathize with their sincerely held beliefs and convictions. Love all and treat as you desire to be treated. There are enemies in our midst in this day...we should all be aware. But, right or wrong, 90% of people are just typical people standing for what they believe is good and important. You may not agree, but if you take the time to understand, you will see most are sincere and reasonable people..however wrong you believe they are in their conclusions. It is very hard not to see everyone and everything through the "big picture" lense of what is going on in the world, but take time to see your fellow man as just a man.
So, with that being said...Im going cold turkey. The weening doesn't work. Not leaving HF. As I've said before, "What would I do on the toilet??"
But, I'm committing to no sociopolitical commentary. Haven't changed my views and most of you know where I stand...just taking my time and energy and carefully and intentionally directing it where I feel some things can get done. A good friend once told me dont waste time talking about some thing if you aren't going to do something. The time for talking at HF on these matters is up for me.
I want to encourage others to stop bringing it here..but won't look down on you if you don't. I know it's hard right now...and we will probably all have something to say when the next event/news of whatever sort hits.
I hate to say it, but I do believe things will get worse out there. We will all need something fun and frivolous (not mindless, though, at HF...never) as much as ever. Let's try to have a little fun here.
    :hookem:

I work with youth in prisons, youngest was 10 years old with a 15 year sentence.
My point is, do this and you will quickly understand the root cause for yourself. Everyone who does knows, those that listen to the media or others who stereotype on both sides don’t. I won’t post that here, because I don’t want to argue with you folks.
    1. One group says They’re just bad kids, nope.
    2. The other side states It’s social injustices that makes them criminals. Nope.

Easy to paint with a large brush from far away for both sides. Get in the fight and it becomes clear.

This COVID is making us all, me included crazy.
Selfishly, I more afraid that crisp Oct Saturday’s this year might be just another day.
