I know why he didn't accept it but I wish he would reconsider. One main one is that he should have won it with the year he bad. Plus the player that won was later found in some mischief. This would help us in having to be able to say we got three winners. We should have four because like Vince Colt got rooked out of one. Colt should have won but they gave it to a Bama freshman because the media made a big deal that Bama never had a Heisman and gave it away at Colt's expense. The Heisman is not the big deal people make it out to be but it would have been nice to have not been rooked. Tommy Nobis was the best player in 1965 but they only give it to people who handle the ball. These are my opinions and is the staff of Hornfans may not be in agreement with my opinions. Anyway Hook 'em!
Bill, I agree. He deserved it, and he deserves it. He should put his pride & ego aside. Few will argue if he makes the decision, and they will always point to the fact that — on 1/4/06, head to head — it was clear to anyone with eyes that this was the best player in the game at that time.
