Posters at Tigerdroppings.com (only LSU would proudly have a website by that name) seemed to concerned about possibly losing one of their top DE recruits, Frank Herron: Linky. Herron was apparently in Austin yesterday. If Herron flips, I guess it would soften the blow of losing A'Shawn to 'Bama if he does indeed commit there. According to Rivals, Herron is a 5-star recruit and comes in with a higher ranking than Robinson (FWIW).
This would put a happier face on this last week before signing day. This past few days reeks of total program collapse.
Hell let's get both. And throw in Billings and D Wilson and all of the sudden we're in the top 10. Oh **** I just woke up. I was dreaming. Oh well...
LSU boards think Herron may have indeed flipped to Texas. The Link Gerry Hamilton on 247 sports says we may haved flipped him and possibly Montrel Meander a wr Washington State commit that visited yesterday. Also that Wilson will most likely go to Ohio State.
Nice Link 7. A lot of 'em (LSU Fans) think he is the star of their class. Getting him sure would soothe a lot of the recent sting. HOOK 'EM, Texdoc
I hope he doesnt flip because he heard that practices are easy (no contact), sallies cookies are to die for, and he will always get a hug.
After all the recent bad news last week, it would be HUGE to get this kid and he is a better DL than Robinson as someone pointed out.
Ain't happening and didn't really expect it either... www.sbnation.com/college-football-recruiting/2013/2/4/3951606/frank-herron-will-sign-lsu-tigers-recruiting-texas-longhorns-official-visit
According to LSU's Rivals site, Herron is sticking to his commitment. Sticking to a commitment...now that's a novel concept.
The basis question is why would a top flight defensive recruit want to play for one of the worst defenses around? These kids, their HS coaches and their parents aren't blind to how poorly the Texas defense is coached.
Well we did flip Montrel Meander, why not Herron too even if it is a long shot. Hamilton reported that Meander was the only visiting recruit that stayed overnight and that he was almost 100% sure he would commit to Texas. Looks like Wilson is headed to Ohio State as he predicted.
