No. Military members have TriCare, which covers a lot, and they can be seen at military hospitals and medical clinics as well as at facilities off base.

As DoD civilians, we have private insurance like other federal employees. It's very good, but it does cost money. I can see providers off base, and it will cover overseas providers as though they were in-network. It's nice, but most private doctors here won't direct bill them, so we have to pay up front and seek reimbursement. On base, we can see military doctors, but it's on a space available basis, which means we basically don't go to the military doctors.

Under the status of forces agreement with the UK, we are also eligible for the NHS even though I don't pay UK taxes. I do see my local NHS doctor for minor, routine stuff (which is free), and we get prescription medication from them (costs money but is very cheap). If I had to go to the ER (or the "A&E"), I'd go to a NHS hospital. However, the long waiting lists make the NHS useless for anything that isn't an emergency but requires a specialist. So I go private.

Knowing that I have great respect for what you and your wife are doing for our country.
I particularly have admiration for Mrs D. She is trying to see the kids are not completely indoctrinated?
    We appreciate you both

Thanks for the kind words, but unfortunately, she isn't in a position to stop that. She isn't a part of it in her role, but she can't stop it from happening.

The indoctrination decisions are mostly being made by higher-ups at DoDEA, and even those people are, to a great extent, implementing bad EOs from Biden. A few classroom teachers resist putting the crap in their classrooms, but most are all for it. It's sad. What would really fix the problem is a guy like Desantis getting in, writing new EOs, (even better) getting Congress to pass laws on the issue for DoDEA, and shitcanning the bad apples within the agency.

One good thing - this evil person was reassigned.

I read it as not working from 2008 for mental-health-related reasons and from 2013 with leukemia.

    She should be fired.

I agree, but in a way, how fair would that be? Not only did the agency know what she was when they hired her, it is precisely why they hired her. Yes, she's obviously a whitey-hater, but her entire position was about hating whitey and coming up with ways to harm whitey. They're pretending it's a bug, but it was actually her biggest feature.

So yes, I'd support her termination, but they'd be terminating her not for being bad (because they already knew that) but for the public finding out she was bad. The more meaningful termination would be of the people who created her position and thousands more like it across the government - starting with the President himself.

"Ask yourself who the social justice you prize so highly is really for. Is it really for the poor and working class who have the short end of the stick in our society or is it to make your feel righteous and onside with Team Progressive? Are your social justice commitments and priorities what the poor and working class actually want? Does the language you speak on these issues even make sense to them?"

Of course, the answer to this is that these folks actually have a very low opinion of the working class of all races. They view them as far to stupid to know what's going on in their lives or what they need.

Sad, but true reality. If I were a black person I would be disgusted by the constant insults and demeaning by the left. Some are waking up, but the MSM has them so brainwashed it's a slow process.

Interesting idea. Let's see how it works out in these states.

Here's another way for elections with more than a few candidates (such as presidential primaries): You get 2 votes-a positive vote (for the candidate you like the best), and a negative vote (for the candidate you like the least). The winner is the candidate with the most positive votes--unless he or she also has the most negative votes, in which case the candidate with the 2nd most positive votes wins. You cannot win if you have the most negative votes. This would knock out some extremists who have a lot of support, but also a lot of detractors.

One thing is pretty constant throughout the ages: things are better when the moderates are running the show.

    I don't care if they're looney. :clown:
(usually, moderates are pretty boring and staid...)
