I get it you are prejudiced against non-whites. They scare you. But that wasn't the issue. The issue was homophobia.

Again. Change the goalposts. If the Proud Boys were really preaching that whites are going extinct and for racial purity, they wouldn't routinely have mixed marriages and children. I would say marrying and having children of another race is one of the clearest ways to show that you love and respect that race. It isn't always the case sure, but if you don't like something or someone the last thing you do is live in a house with them. Use common sense and not Cultural Marxist ideology.

This is why liberals are racists. If any minority thinks differently and votes, agrees or becomes conservative, they are ridiculed. Is it so hard not to be racist?

Anyone remember back when teachers and professors used to bemoan Americans’ political apathy and lack of involvement? Well, they got what they wanted, and much of the nation is at each other’s throats.

Maybe things would be better if a large majority went back to political apathy, and didn’t care about politics anymore. You know, back to the old normal.

Welp, just when you thought it was all over and we could finally turn the page on the recent bizarre events...

Hard core "Q" followers are planning to "inaugurate" Trump on March 4, 2021.

QAnon followers newest conspiracy theory has them planning a Trump inauguration on March 4th: report

"Sovereign citizens believe that a law enacted in 1871 secretly turned the U.S. into a corporation and did away with the American government of the founding fathers. The group also believes that President Franklin D. Roosevelt sold U.S. citizens out in 1933 when he ended the gold standard and replaced it by offering citizens as collateral to a group of shadowy foreign investors."

Hmmmmmm, where have we heard something like that before...

Perhaps it would help if we defined "Right Wing" to begin with. Here's a nice graphic with some descriptions that may help:

Left vs Right (World) — Information is Beautiful

According to this chart, some things the Right Wing favors are:

    1. Tax cuts
    2. Aggression
    3. Militancy
    4. Strong role models
    5. War
    6. Helping those who help themselves
    7. Unmarried sex
    8. Strict parenting
    9. Parent - child relationships based on respect and fear
    10. Belief that the homeless have no work ethic or sense of shame
    11. A community based on morals
    12. Championing opportunity
    13. Immigration control

According to this chart, many right wingers cluster in the following professions:

    1. Police
    2. Military
    3. Stockbroker / Finance
    4. Sales
    5. Judge

Right wingers' children often exhibit discipline, morality, and self-defense--each of which "builds character."

Right wingers tend to favor rural areas and be self-reliant adults.

That is a pretty weak description of what the Right is. It sounds how a Leftist would describe the Right. Nothing in their about freedom for instance.

Also, before WW2, the Right in the US was not pro-military or war at all. That changed as neo-conservatives came in from the Left.

Here's a British perspective on left v right:

    Left-wing vs right-wing: it’s complicated | YouGov

    And here's a simplified graph:

    :arrow-up::arrow-up::arrow-up::arrow-up::arrow-up:
This has Freedom existing between the Democrat donkey and the Republican elephant. Sounds like a pretty good place to be.

The right wing includes: Monarchism, Nazism, and Fascism
The left wing includes: Anarchism, Communism, and Socialism

Things might be better if we could lop off everything to the right of Monarchism, and everything to the left of Socialism, and put them all on an island where they can battle it out.

I think it's a fairly accurate representation, at least for a complex topic.

And here's a cloud of media outlets:

It looks like "The Hill" is the biggest Centrist outlet.
"Breitbart" is the leading Right Wing outlet.
"CNN" and "The New York Times" are among the leading Left Wing outlets (there are many of them), with The Times to the left of CNN.

My own confirmation bias. TheHill.com is my currently most heavily frequented news source.

I find it beneficial to read a "normal" Centrist source, but to also read some Right Wing and Left Wing sources, including some off-the-wall ones, in order to see what ideas are out there, and what's going on. Most outlets filter their news to only include stories that support a certain narrative.

When I watch the news, I'll watch both CNN and Fox. They often air completely different news events--each picked to support a narrative.

By the way, over the years, The Christian Science Monitor has been one of the best sources of news--despite an apparent historical connection to an odd religious sect...?

I do the same. My typical news consumption pattern is to start with theHill or NPR then check the headlines of CNN/FoxNews. The only news shows I watch are PBS Newshour (daily) and Sunday Morning political shows in this order: FoxNews, ABC, CNN (GPS with Fareed Zakaria). I'll checkout the CSM.

I can't stand the way they talk in their fakey voices on NPR. It's as if they are trying to speak the way you might speak when you're in a library. It's annoying as all get-out.

For me it helps balance the angry tone from all other news/political radio sources. With that, I haven't listened to NPR since the Pandemic started. I'm reading their articles on a limited basis.

This looks like complete bunk to me. What is the actual spectrum base on? I would think slavery would be on one side and freedom on the other. Does the spectrum show economic freedom, individual/collective basis, style of government.

None of those map to the picture. It looks like arbitrary gobbledy-gook to me, like someone already knew the comparison they wanted and then drew a line underneath the pictures.
